We stayed here for a one night layover on a trip. Approx 14 miles south of I-30 New Boston. Very impressive campground. Campsites are laid out where you don’t feel too crowded. Very level site & clean. Very nice dump station. We will be coming back.

Malden camp sites are spacious with plenty of room for games like Cornhole or horseshoes. It has nice bathrooms with showers and 2 playgrounds. Do wish they had sewer and were open year around. Only open a few months of the year. We do like camping here when available.

We were told at the gate at time of check in that we have Fire Ants oh yes LOTS! Also lots of other bugs, pine needles in our spot and tons on the road. We were told by other campers gate is broken not secure.

Campsite was great except for the ants. Make sure and carry plenty of ant poison.

We were not allowed to bring our golf cart with a disability placard even though rules state we could. Ants were terrible! We continuously sprayed them while there, and still trying to kill them in our camper since home.
