We spent two nights here to view the April eclipse. The sites are large with paved parking areas and a covered picnic table. Our site #10 was quite level, and we had a nice view of the lake. The night sky was very dark and offered great stargazing. One thing to note if you have pets is that the grass is full of stickers. We had to remove them from our dogs’ feet and fur every time we walked them outside. There is a restroom/shower house that was clean and well maintained. Sites are spaced out so you have decent room between you and your neighbors. The campground is also secure with gates that require an access code to enter. Additionally the rangers drove through on a regular basis.

This area was perfect for us. Reminded us of our home state of Kentucky. The Host was a great person, was friendly and seemed to enjoy his job there.

Beautiful Area. Park was clean and quiet...Even if your a local, this park is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world around us. It gave me the chance to get back to the simple things in life.
