At the time of our visit the restrooms in our looped were closed. No explanation given other than a “closed” sign at the restrooms. We were not self-contained. Flush toilets were located approximately 3/4 mi back towards park entrance. We met others at the park entrance facility who stated restroom was closed at their loop at another section of the park as well.
We did not find out about restroom closure until we had set up camp. Prior notice at park entrance or via email would have been appreciated.

well, if you’re into fishing, hiking, kayaking and 15 minutes from town - can’t do any better than sites 5 and 6 at Sanders park. site 6 is kinda awkward to get a camper into - watch out for that blasted tree stump.

If you like camping among pine trees and near the lake this is the perfect spot. Definitely will be back.

We camp at Pat Mayse frequently and enjoy the 17 mi of scenic mountain bike trails they have at Sanders Cove that you can hike or bike. The staff there is courteous and professional. It’s conveniently located close to dining and local markets. Sanders Cove is a great family friendly place to chill and enjoy nature.

Getting There
From Paris, TX, take HWY 271 north 12 mi to FM 906 W and follow it 1 mi to CR 35920. Turn left into the park following signs.
Highway access
Sanders Cove is accessible via HWY 271, which is approximately 12 miles south from Paris, TX. Additionally, FM 906 provides access to CR 35920.

General
- This area was a military artillery range in the 1940s; Report any ordinance to the park rangers or 911 if found.
- Entrance gate opens and closes; vehicles may leave at any time but cannot enter until the following morning
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
