Low voltage issues at 2 different campsites. Damaged my AC, even with Hughes Power Watchdog Dogbone. Same thing happened this weekend to my camping neighbors in their Airstream. Aug 3rd. AC breaker kept tripping at odd times, not just heat of the day. Monitoring the power via the bluetooth connection on the Power watchdog allowed me to troubleshoot, but it was too late. Sent the family home due to unreliable AC in the Texas heat.

Nice campground close by Dallas (thus great place to stay with an RV or tent if you're planning for a day-trip into the city) while also being quiet enough to enjoy nature. Very friendly staff. The restrooms were flooded however due to the downpours. Even though the weather was bad, the sunset view over the lake was simply stunning! Would definitely come back!

First, the good. We loved the campground and the proximity to our activities. The views were amazing and the lake was so refreshing and beautiful. Sites were fairly level. The camp hosts (Lisa and Anne) were terrific. Both were understanding and accommodating. Lisa helped us when we were having electrical issues (will discuss in the “bad” section). Now for the bad. We were in site #11. It was a good site with an amazing view. But…..we experienced electrical problems from the beginning. Our breaker kept tripping. The maintenance guys looked at the pedestal and determined that it had experienced heat at some previous time. They changed out one wire and power was restored. We thought issues were fixed but no. I measured the voltage and found that we had low voltage (108 volts). We could not run our AC. Not happy! Camp host Lisa was so very helpful and allowed us to move to another site. Anyway, our overall experience was fair. Please fix the electrical issues and our rating will go to excellent.

Closed the park and had to leave with less than 24 hrs warning, had not rained for 3 days. They Corp of engineers should had been able to forecast better than that.
