What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Point at Wright Patman Dam is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean grounds, and friendly camp hosts, making it a peaceful and enjoyable destination for families and nature lovers. Campers appreciate the spacious sites with great lake views and the variety of wildlife, including deer. However, some reviews mention the need for restroom upgrades and occasional maintenance issues, such as overgrown grass and closed facilities, which could improve the overall experience.

Site was great, only bath house open was stinky and in need of paint. No handicap accessible stalls or showers. Also, at about 3 a.m., each night, there was a terrible smell outside, like sewer or methane. I had to get up and close all the windows. Campground was pretty quiet, and there were walking trails and a really nice disc course I never saw anyone using.

Need to open up all bathrooms all the time, if the park is open and has campers all the bathrooms need to be available.

This is a great core of engineers park. Large roomy camp sites. C-loop is a little tight for our larger 5th wheel at 44 feet but otherwise a great park.

Amazing campgrounds. Most of the pads need repoured with concrete, but the new ones are nice and level. It's nice having all the extra bathrooms and the playground is nice for the kids. Needs more septic. Only like 8 have it out of 124 spots. The water is absolutely horrendous. I absolutely would advise against using it if at all possible. It's as brown as the lake water is.

This is my new go to campground for this area. Beautiful scenery and the camp host were all very helpful during the ice storm that went through. The deer and squirrels were a constant source of entertainment.
