Beautiful out of the way campground in this remote but worth the trip national park. Great hike to McKittrick Valley overlook.

Dog Canyon is a great, quiet campground. I spent three days there. There are plenty of trails you can access from the site without driving. The volunteer park ranger was very helpful and great to talk to. I had plenty of room for my set up and parking was convenient. As always, a flush toilet/"real" bathroom was appreciated, as was the wifi available at the ranger station. I'd recommend the site and hope to return.

This campground was clean, secluded, and had nice facilities. My misunderstanding of the term "dry campground" had us bringing a lot of water along, but there were bathrooms and drinking water (no showers). Lovely host and a small ranger station staffed by a kind volunteer.
