Nice campground. Make sure to have a full tank of gas before you head up the road to this location. No services once you leave the highway. There is internet available at the ranger station porch.

Beautiful campground! Very remote but tent sites are very well maintained. Heated bathrooms were surprisingly clean and having a wash station for dishes was so nice. Herd of mule deer wandering in and out of the campsite was fun to watch. Only downside is inconsiderate campers arriving after dark and then proceed to set up and cook and talk loudly until around midnight when we finally asked them to mind their volume. Everyone else we met was considerate and friendly though campsite was not full by a long shot. Definitely different than the other side of Guadalupe. The canyon is beyond beautiful and so worth going too! Recommend over crowded pine springs campsite!

The sights were beautiful. However, there were no bathrooms which proved to be very very challenging.

Love the peace and quiet of Dog Canyon. Shared the entire campground with only one other camper. So much better than the crowds at Pine Springs.

This is a great base camp for hiking. Campground is equipped and well-maintained. You are remote and out of touch with the world.
Very beautiful.
