What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

We stayed two nights late Apr '23, site #82 - sites are deep, level and gravel. Tons of room between sites. The trees were mature but spaced apart. The bath house was clean. Cell coverage was good, didn't try the antenna. No day use access - One good length hiking trail through the trees. Some money could be spent on basic improvements to the picnic benches and thier associated covers. We would stay here again.

Camp is coming back from some kind of major issue, a flood I think. The camp spots that have been repaired and restored are fantastic.

Great campsite and very well taken care of. Sites are well taken care and lots of access to the lake and common mares to enjoy. Wildlife was nice and very active. Kids really enjoyed it.

When we got there someone was in our spot. Camp hosts were so sweet and helpful. We switched sites with the couple that was already there because they were all set up. We had a great time!

Site 147 was a great site for camping. We rented an RV and had it delivered with no issues. The typical Texas weather did not stop us from enjoying family time playing in the water, fishing, and grilling. We coordinated in advance with the park about our reservations and what we were hoping to do. They were very friendly and knowledgable and made us feel welcomed.

I would highly recommend installing a playground at rocky creek, children need a place to play!
Seems like the park is not being well maintained, there was a lot of overgrowth along the water line and why close BOTH boat ramps at the same time for repair making your camping guest have to drive all the way out to yeuga creek to launch their boat.
