What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Gate staff, maintenance and security was very present and always helpful.
Location is good with large campsites, trees and close to lake. Bathrooms were always clean, open and was stocked.
We fished and caught a nice mess of fish. Great fishing lake.
Highly recommend this camp grounds and will rent here again.
Recommend = The grass needed to be mowed, if a budget issue then this needs to be solved for campers.
Recommend = Boat ramp was closed, but understand should open soon. This amenity is key for renters and should be a priority action item. Yegua boat ramp is not close and takes alot for campers to drive, use boat ramp and drive back after being on the lake.

We were fishing along the side of the boat ramp. We fished there for 3-4 week straight with no problem. The past 3 weeks we were fishing with the white neighbors. A park patrol came and just warned us not to get to the boat docking platform. She did not say anything about us not able to fishing on the rocks. This time only us 2 Asian male and a tall white park patrol came and said we can't fish there. I told him it was fine with the other park patrol lady and he replied "you can't fish there because I said so!" I believe this tall young park patrol (ranger?? ) is discriminating against our race. If there were white people fishing with us like last time, he wouldn't act like that. I forgot to get the name of this man, he's tall and about 40 years old. He rode on the golf cart with an old park employee. I enjoyed my time there the past 3 times with my white neighbours, This time, we did parked the truck at the closed gate, we accept that is wrong on our part. However, we can simply move the truck and continue fishing. Even if it is wrong for us to fish there, that park employee should not respond to us that way. He is not the law. He should say "it is the park regulation." Instead of saying "because I said so". He should remember that we paid for his salary to work there. He need to learn to interact with different race better. RACIST PARK EMPLOYEE!!!
