What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

A beautiful campground even though the bathrooms could use some much needed repairs. The hand driers did not work in the mens or womens bathrooms and there was no soap.

There was a price increase in the last year. But don't see where the park is utilizing the extra money at. Campsites were not mowed, fire rings very old and rusted over. And the womens bathroom was disgusting.

Nice quiet clean park! Enjoyed our stay so much we became gate attendants! Beautiful part of Texas! Great restaurants and grocery stores less than a half an hour in any direction.

We had a great time at Rocky Creek, Lake Somerville. The gate people were very nice. The park was well kept, freshly mowed. The park wasn't fully open, I think it was a combination of winter operations and maintenance on the other area. The park was almost full the whole time we were there, people coming and going, but it was quiet, the travelers were respectful of the rule. The only thing I think needs to be address is the couple of "slob" campers with large dogs. One group let them run loose, and neither group cleaned up after the dogs. Other than that, we had a great time, the fish were biting, the weather was pleasant. We will plan a return trip in the fall. Had a really good hamburger at " Momma's Restaurant in Somerville.

We love this park and site #91. It is a corner site with a huge "front yard".
The park was only partially open on this weekend so it was not crowded at all.
The sites were all mowed and trimmed very nicely.
They were having water problems and the water was briefly shut off a couple of times
They came around and gave us notice both times.
The park host were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
