What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Sites in the 70’s very close together & not very level. Great view & clean. Lots of construction so a lot of the park is closed at this time. Will be nice when done.

Lot's of wildlife. Lake was quite low, therefore not very accessible. Water was off for several days.

Site 52 was on the end of the row right by the lake. Deer walking by. Egrets and Blue Heron on the lake. Great location. Bathrooms basic but clean and functional. Shame only there for one night.

I use to go to Lake Somerville as a child and it's still pretty. Unfortunately we had a huge cold snap and spent 90% of our time inside the RV due to the below freezing weather around Christmas. Our spot was full of deer and it was nice to have a lots of space between lots. Brenham is a short distance away.

Rocky Creek is a very nice CoE Park, located on Lake Somerville. We have stayed at this park on numerous occasions and will definitely go back. The only reason I didn't rate the park as Excellent is that the hand dryers in the park restrooms never work. Over the course of numerous stays that included cycling around the park, I've been in most of the park's Men's restrooms and NONE of the hand dryers work; my wife reports the same problem in the Women's restrooms.
