I really enjoyed my time at this park. The lake was a bit over its edges. In fact, parts of the nature trail were underwater. Just the same, it was absolutely beautiful. My site was right on the water, roomy, and perfectly level. The birding was pretty good, especially on the nature trail. I was very impressed with every staff member I came in contact with.

The spaces need to be mowed. We cleaned our space, the sewer drop(clean out) was nasty, you could smell the sewer, park ranger letting guest park in the road hard to get around. Not making them park in guest parking area. Gate people was rude.

Yegua Creek Park has been our first choice for camping on Lake Somerville for many years. Most sites have great lake views and generally level.

We love Yegua Park and visit every year for probably 30 years. The park attendants are always so nice. However, the park has really gone down hill in appearance and activities over the last few years. The playground was removed and was not rebuilt. That area is unsightly now. The large mountains of rocks in the loop area close to sites 75-81ish has been there for a few years now. Such an eyesore and dangerous! That area use to be a great place to watch the sunsets. GLASS! So much broken glass along the beach areas. We pick up box fulls every time we are there. Many of the trees need trimming as they have dead limbs. I really wish this park could be restored to it beautiful self.
