We had site number A4, the only non-handicap pull through site. It is not too level, but still a great site. Our water view was great. We camped in a motor home so we pulled to the front of the site which had more of a slop, a travel trailer or 5th wheel could park further towards the back of the site and would be a bit more level. We only stayed one night as we were on our way north from spending time further south in TX. Clear Springs has never disappointed us. Easy off Hwy 59 heading north from the Houston area, cost is great and the campground itself is very nice. Last fall we were delayed arrived after dark, and the parking was a biyt tricky even though we are familiar with the campground, arrive before dark, not many streetlights in the woods.

We stayed in site B4 with a great view of the lake. Peaceful, well kept park. Only complaint was that you couldn’t close the door to the shower. They need to adjust the hinges so the doors will close.

The park volunteers are very friendly and keep the trails clear and the facilities clean.
When I accidentally reserved a site that wasn’t the one I was actually aiming for, the park host was happy to help see if my preferred site was still available and made that change for me.
We like camping here, and the trails are easy and short, perfect for hiking with small children.

We stayed in the A Loop. The park itself is very nice and convenient to Texarkana and the hwy 59/ I 30 corridor. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. However; the bathroom and shower house was in need of a deep cleaning and some repair. While well stocked, there was a lot of “old dirt” and I could tell it had not been throughly cleaned in some time.

From Texarkana, take Highway 59 south. Turn right (west) on Farm-to-Market (FM) Road 2148 and follow to Wright Patman Lake entrance. Follow the park road west to the entrance.
