Great site. The only issue, if you don’t like people walking by your site to get to water then choose a different site.

Such a fantastic park that is very well maintained. Nice secluded cabins and plenty of camping spots for those with tents. Just keep in mind that the tent sites are kind of close to each other, but there are plenty that are close to the water.

The park is very nice. We had a wonderful site right on the water. We put the address of the park into Google Maps. It took us to the main Corps of Engineer office near the trailhead. There was no one there who could help us. We travelled a little ways down the road; finally called them and were told to go 1/4 mile more and turn left. This park definitely needs more signs. Maybe a sign with an arrow near the trail head parking lot. i.e., Airport Park with an arrow. The sign at the entrance to the park needs to be turned so oncoming traffic can see the sign, not perpendicular to the road. It is fine for those who know the area, but if you are not from the area, you might have a problem, especially if you are driving a huge rig and cannot turn around safely. We would stay at this park again now that we know how to get there.
