Midway Park offers a beautiful, well-maintained environment with shaded RV spaces, clean showers, and friendly staff, making it a great place for camping. Guests appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and scenic views of Lake Waco, as well as the helpfulness of the park hosts. However, some reviewers noted issues such as high grass, highway noise, and occasional rudeness from staff, indicating that the park could benefit from some maintenance and improved communication.

Place is not very well kept up. Leaves and sticks/limbs everywhere. Multiple fire ant mounds in the area around the picnic table. It's just a shame that the campgrounds around Lake Waco are in such poor condition. Over half of the available sites are no longer open and things are either abandoned or in a state of disrepair.

This is a lovely place right on the lake in Waco. The sites are large and the views are great. We really loved our shad trees.

Site # 4 was a perfect spot for levalness, for beauty of the lake, bird watching, and rest! Love the covered picnic table area. Note there are steps to get to picnic table. Close to town, road, bridge but really no noise problem. We love the Waco history and sorry we did not spend more time in the area. The Silos, downtown, the parks, walking, bike paths, are not only clean, safe, but... beautiful with flowers, green grass, and well, just welcoming! The old west history yeilds to more time, and Magnoilias is absolutly a fine place for young and old! Bring your pocketbook as YOU will need something from Waco!

We were disappointed with our return trip here. The grounds were not mowed and the grass was pretty long. We saw snakes. The bathrooms were leaking rain from the sky lights they need maintenance.

Nice park for an overnight on the road. Midway is an attractive park. Our pad was level and the water / electric utilities were in good shape. It's generally quiet, but the calm is interrupted several times a day by the thunderous sound of rocket tests at the Space X facility 15 mi away. I found that interesting, but my wife thought it was very annoying.
