The park host and his wife are great and very helpful. The park is very clean, lots of wildlife. Lake views are lovely.

Love Lofers Bend West. Great variety of sites, spread across a large area with lots of different settings (wide open, cliffs vs flat, fully shaded, close or far from water etc). The playground is my favorite place to camp near for my small kiddos.

This was our first time camping here and it was a poor experience. Several campsites had their music ridiculously loud. We felt like we were at a loud concert each day. So much for relaxing. The restrooms also did not have hot water so we couldnβt shower. Park should inform people that their facilities donβt have hot water. Overall, terrible experience and we will not return.

The only problem we had was the broken bathroom. We will always continue going to Lofers Bend, but it wasnβt as comfortable as usual. I love it there. I hope they have things fixed before we go back in June

We love Lofers Bend West. Everything is always clean and neat. The restroom/ showers are always clean. Most sites are far apart.

Lofers bend was super nice park. 180 degree views from most camp site. We choose one right on the bank of the lake but the next time we will most likely pick one a little further into the trees to help with wind block. Great Lake for fishing, or just simply hanging out by a camp fire. ππΌππΌ

From I-35 in Hillsboro, take Hwy 22 west 12 miles to Whitney, continue 7 miles past Whitney, and turn right before dam. Follow park road to 4-way stop. Turn left for West Lofers or right for East Lofers.
Lofers Bend West is accessible via US Highway 377, approximately 10 miles to the east.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Gates have specific opening and closing times.
- Contact the Whitney Lake Project Office for information and burn ban restrictions.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Fishing requires a valid fishing license at Lake Whitney parks.
Vehicles & parking
- Each campsite allows a maximum of three vehicles, excluding group sites.
Site types & loops
- ATVs and OHVs are prohibited.
Fires & fuel
- Purchase firewood locally and burn it on-site to protect forests.
