Despite this camping trip to Lofers Bend West being the week after Texas' "Deep Freeze", we had a wonderful time, with 7 family RVs in attendance. Until 2 days before we had to leave, only one of the 3 restrooms in Lofers West was operational, due to damage caused by freezing. Due to rolling blackouts, the Corps could not provide continuous heat for the restrooms and their plumbing corridors, so the park restrooms suffered some significant damage to plumbing and fixtures. Operation was restored to a 2nd restroom before we left, and I'm sure the 3rd has now been restored. Other than this inconvenience (our RV tanks needed dumping more frequently), our stay was pleasant and enjoyable, as always.

The park is great! Not a bad site in the place. BUT there were some bad neighbors in the place. Loud. I mean loud. Drunk and loud until 2am. No one patrolling the park to enforce anything. Asked at the gate the next day they said we’d have to call the sheriff and that they had no budget for someone to patrol.
All that said, I’d go back because the park is nice. Just have the sheriffs number handy just in case.

We enjoyed ourselves, however, there was only one bathroom that worked. So it was busy and far to drive because the one working was on the other side of campground and we had small children with us. I feel like they should have taken some off of our price per night which was $30 a night. We stayed 2 nights.
