#33 West is a very good site with a good view of the lake. 2 sites near to us partied loud singing until 2am. A site next to us had at least 20 people there at all times many were not campers they were there by car with lots of kiddos...very loud. There was no hot water at all in the showers and this was not a warm time of year so VERY disappointed. I did not see any wildlife, other than birds, at all and while it was good that it was not over populated with raccoons like other parks it was a little strange not to see deer or anything. Overall this was a nice park and I think with hot water and more security visible to enforce the rules it would be a very nice place.

Welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. Nice clean campground and facilities. I would have given the highest rating, but we got little sleep the first night and had to call the sheriff's office for the same reason on 2nd night- same loud people, partying most of the night. Apparently there is no onsite enforcement of quiet times. If there continues to be no on site enforcement of quiet hours, may I suggest that you post that information at check-in with instructions for the correct number to call for the sheriff's department. I called the corps of engineers number and got an unhelpful recording and then I called the Whitney police department and they gave me the sheriff's phone number and told me that is who I should have called originally. I'm sure I will come again, but I hope to get some rest next time! Thank you, Terri Watson.

Clean, well maintained park. I would like for the camping sites to have 50 amp services. The main breaker for our camp site tripped. I found a phone number on a brochure at one of the information bulletin boards and called it in. The lady who answered was very polite, friendly, and competent. She had some of the maintenance men come over within about 45 minutes and they took care of the issue. We have recommended Lofers Bend to many of our camping friends and will stay there again!

From I-35 in Hillsboro, take Hwy 22 west 12 miles to Whitney, continue 7 miles past Whitney, and turn right before dam. Follow park road to 4-way stop. Turn left for West Lofers or right for East Lofers.
Lofers Bend West is accessible via US Highway 377, approximately 10 miles to the east.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Gates have specific opening and closing times.
- Contact the Whitney Lake Project Office for information and burn ban restrictions.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Fishing requires a valid fishing license at Lake Whitney parks.
Vehicles & parking
- Each campsite allows a maximum of three vehicles, excluding group sites.
