Campsite W67 in Lofers Bend West park is an excellent site. Unfortunately, it is one of only SIX 50-amp sites in the park. The site has a clear view of Lake Whitney Dam and a good portion of the lake itself. Fairly level site, adequate parking for 2 vehicles and a utility trailer without parking on grass. Beware: if you don't like wind, this is not your site. The wind across this exposed "point" blew very strongly (although from different directions) for 11 of the 12 days we spent there. WARNING: Just a couple of steps away from our trailer steps, a steel bar was sticking up about 2 inches out of the ground, and was partially hidden by weeds. This bar was used to tie down the timbers which hold in the gravel around the table shelter, but the top of the timber has rotted off, leaving this potentially lethal, partially hidden hazard sticking up out of the ground. It would easily punch a hole in any bicycle, motorcycle, or trailer tire which rolled over it. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay in W67.
