We recently stayed at Postcard Cabins, Hill Country, and unfortunately the photos did not accurately reflect the condition of the cabin. While it’s marketed as a “new” hotel, the cabin felt very worn down. The stairs leading to the door were rickety, the picnic table was splintered and crooked, and the grill was placed uncomfortably close to trees, which raised safety concerns. The cabin door didn’t close properly, allowing bugs inside through visible gaps that appeared weather-related.
The hot water tank was extremely small, allowing only about a minute and a half of warm water before turning ice cold. The cabin itself was also much smaller than expected, something the wide-angle website photos did not properly convey. The mattress was very uncomfortable, with a noticeable dip in the middle that made it difficult to sleep.
That said, the staff was accommodating and responsive. They quickly brought us a new deck of cards when ours was incomplete and replenished snacks and coffee daily. The kitchen was well stocked with basic supplies and necessities.
Overall, for a Marriott property, we expected a higher level of upkeep and comfort. If you don’t mind worn facilities and a very rustic, tight space, even brushing your teeth where you wash dishes, this may work for you. But based on our experience, the condition did not match the expectations set by the photos or brand.

We stayed here for my birthday and couldn't have recommended it more. We were provided easy instructions and were pleasantly surprised by how cool the cabins are outfitted. The service and kindness of the staff are second to none. We stayed during the latest winter freeze in central Texas and were forced to stay another night due to the icy roads. But the staff was extremely accommodating and worked tirelessly to ensure safe passage was provided on their property. Thank you so much for your help Alex, Kayla, Jeremy & team!

We loved our one-night stay at Postcard Cabin (Jorge) in Wimberley. It was the perfect quick getaway from San Antonio — peaceful, easy, and genuinely relaxing.
They truly thought of everything. The destination fee included many thoughtful extras like firewood, s’mores, bottled water, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and sugar/cream. The cabin also comes with a full kitchen setup if you plan on cooking on the stove, plus a fridge and everything you’d need to feel comfortable (ladies, the mirror is inside the little cabinet!).
Check-in was effortless — they text you all the details, there’s a cute little walking trail, and the cabins are nicely spaced out so you don’t hear or bump into neighbors, still close enough where you don’t feel isolated or uneasy. It was so dark and beautiful at night, we saw so many stars.
The only downside was that our view faced a black fence. It didn’t bother us too much, but it would’ve been nicer to have a more scenic view, so if that matters to you, I’d recommend requesting a cabin away from the fence ahead of time.
Overall, we had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend it for a simple, comfortable Hill Country getaway.

Booking our cabin was easy through Marriott. Our cabin was great. It was clean and well taken care of. There was good distance between cabins, so everything felt private and we never even noticed our neighbors. Almost everything you could need was included! We loved the fire kit with fire wood provided everyday. Honestly the daily fee did not seem terrible to us. I wish it was just included in the rate, but it was disclosed when we booked so it wasn't a surprise. The fee was kinda worth it to not have to bring anything with us. The fee includes re-stocking supplies every day (bottled water, s'mores kits, snacks, extra paper towels and picking up trash if requested...) they also check in on you every day via text to make sure you don't need anything. It's all the convenience of a hotel room with a glamping experience! The only gripe we had, was that we wish the fire pits were not supposed to be put out by 10 pm because we loved sitting out and looking at the stars.

I stayed here in November and unfortunately cannot recommend this place. Even under Marriott, Postcard Cabins still has serious issues with its reservation and payment system.
In June, I made three reservations and canceled one, receiving the proper refund. The remaining two cabins were fully prepaid, including taxes and destination fees.
However, after checkout, I was charged a pet fee twice ($58.13 each), even though I selected the pet option for only one cabin. No receipt was sent automatically, so I had to contact them just to get the final bill.
What made the situation worse was their response. Despite the invoices clearly showing two valid deposits, the staff repeatedly told me they could only find payment for one reservation and required me to “prove” that I had paid for both. I had to dig through old statements and emails to show what should have been obvious from the start.
All of this was caused by their own system error and double-charging, yet the burden was placed entirely on me to fix it.
I’ve stayed at Getaway cabins many times, but this was by far my most disappointing experience, and I will not be returning.
If you decide to stay here, keep screenshots of every reservation and double-check your final bill very carefully.
