What Guests Are Saying
East Fork offers a beautiful campground with large, spacious sites and stunning lake views, making it a relaxing destination for visitors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some sites require maintenance, including pad repairs and restroom cleanliness, and the lack of full hookups may be a drawback for longer stays. Overall, many guests appreciate the natural setting and plan to return despite minor issues.

Spacious and quiet. Roads are rough, but that's reportedly being fixed for next season. There are not a lot of trees and the wind off the lake can get really intense and it can get muddy when it rains. Overall it's a nice peaceful park with nice new-ish bath houses, nice views, and nearby trails. There is a horse trailhead around the corner that eventually leads to a great long trail, perfect for walking dogs...you have to walk along the road (but behind a barrier) for a quarter mile or so to get to the good bits, but once you do it's miles of nice forest trails. I'll be back.
There are no sewer hookups and no laundry facilities (as with most CoE parks), so plan accordingly.

The location is great. However the following conditions need to be addressed; roads to the campground and inside are more potholes than surface (6" to 24" wide and 3" to 6" deep) to potentially damage RV, pads were not properly graded (we had 3" correction on side and 9" correction front to rear). The camp staff was pleasant and reservations recorded correctly.

The park was in a very nice setting but looks like it has had no maintenance accomplished in a very long time. The rods getting into and through the park are in terrible condition. We were there through a heavy rain and our site flooded with 8 plus inches of water that was still there after 2 days.

The campground is scenic and a nice place to go. However the toads into the gate are so filled with potholes you can’t miss them. The roads in the park are also very bad. People let their dogs run loose and never pick up after them. I feel they need more supervision, someone diving around checking things out more.

The road into the park it horrible. The spaces are far apart and flat . All in all it wa a good stay . They really need to repair the toad in especially since the dump is right outside the gate

Our stay at East Fork was wonderful! We stayed in two different campsites, and both had exceptional views of the lake and plenty of room to sit outside our RV. The campsites are spread apart nicely leaving each site with lots of open space for enjoying the outdoors. We will definitely be back!

I enjoyed my stay. The park is nice and clean. Enough space between sites that you aren’t packed in. The bathrooms are clean and heated. The staff was pleasant and helpful. While I was there the park is closed to get in from 10-10. 10 am is pretty late in the morning for most campers! I went to get breakfast one day and had to wait an hour to get back in to my site. Now the pot holes are ridiculous. I read reviews of them and i thought oh dang ok, I’ll be sure to go slow. Well they are unavoidable and it busted the leaf spring on my 5th wheel. I was stranded at this park until I could get it fixed. The fact that there are reviews dating back and it is so bad it is causing major damage to people’s RVs. Something should be done.

Gate employee was very courteous and helpful. The roads are in unacceptable condition. Showers/restrooms were clean and in good operating condition. Please fix the roads.

The roads into and in the park are horrible. Why can’t you repair them. It’s been like this for at least two years

We always enjoy our visits to East Fork Park in Wylie Tx. Sure it needs some TLC like the roads need to be fixed badly but just being able to go park in your RV and have a beautiful view of the lake while you drink your coffee is worth the hassle of dealing with bad roads. Every ranger we’ve met has always been nice and very helpful with any questions we’ve asked. We will definitely come back to this park.
