Sunset Campground offers a beautiful and quiet setting within Bryce Canyon National Park, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms and spacious campsites surrounded by trees. Its convenient location allows easy access to hiking trails and scenic viewpoints, enhancing the camping experience. While some sites may be too small for larger RVs and cell service is limited, the overall atmosphere and amenities make it a highly recommended destination for nature lovers.

We found it impossible to book more than one night at a time using the website; we had to make three separate reservations, one for each night we were there. Moreover we had to move each day to a new site. The website is very poorly designed; it used to be a lot more usable. Also one of the sites (#A236-237) was a double site we had to share with another camper.; this is unacceptable! Otherwise the the campground was quiet and the toilets clean.

Our campsite (c278) was a very good location for us. There was a fire-ring which we purchased fire wood from Ruby's General Store (outside of the Park, since the Bryce Canyon General Store sold out), but worked out well for us. Restroom and a separate Wash room for washing eating utensils were very convenient. One afternoon, three Dears were about 50-feet away from our campsite, but didn't seem startled by our presence ... very comforting. We walked to some of trails (e.q. SunSet trail and took the trail to Wall Street (~5-mile hike), but beautiful landscape of HooDoos! On another day, we did a Moonlight walk (with full-moon until we saw the 8% lunar eclipse ... very enjoyable...but was getting a little chilly. We drove to some of the other points of interest for viewing like Inspiration Point (beautiful view)! We didn't take any of the Shuttles, but next time, we will plan on utilizing the Shuttle in our plans. Overall, we throughly enjoyed our camping experience at Bryce Canyon! Thank you!

We had a lovely experience. Other reviews of this site are correct. There is a clearing in the bushes for a 2 person tent, but no larger. A larger tent could fit at this site but would require being placed too close to the fire pit. This site worked great for us, as we only needed one 2 person tent. The site is close to the bathrooms (but not too close) with great vicinity to everything Bryce Canyon offers.

Great campground - close to every scenic spot in Bryce Canyon. You can leave your car at the camp site and walk over to Sunset Point without having to fight with others for a parking spot. Restroom is clean. There are hot water to wash dishes.

Camping in the parks has changed a lot since my early trips in the mid-60s. Campgrounds are more crowded. Not only with more people but also denser spaces. I think “tent only” loops are a mistake. Tent campers generate much more noise, and at odd hours, than RVs. With the exception of generators, RVs are pretty quiet. In the tent loops people seem to be constantly unlocking and locking vehicles, with the corresponding beeps, honks, etc. There are also the slamming doors and hatchbacks. There is very little peace and quiet. Even after dark and into the late hours, it’s noisy. Sleeping is impossible until everyone around your site decides to be quiet. I hate to say it but visiting the parks may well be a thing of the past for me. Recent experiences are dulling some very happy memories. The experience just isn’t the same. One bright spot was the host who helped me out of a jam when I inadvertently arrived a day early for my stay.

This was a very nice quiet tree-filled campground with newer bathrooms, spigots for water, tables, fire rings, and roomy parking. Also, available was a trash and propane container disposal. Older bathroom buildings and spigots were present but not in use. The way to the campground was very commercial and did take away from the natural beauty of the surroundings. Showers were not near the campground but available near the commerce. The same was true for wood. Camp hosts were not available amongst the campsites but were somewhat removed and could be summoned if needed.

Bryce Canyon is a national treasure, would definitely stay here again.
Good sites. I stayed in Sunset, Loop B. There needs to be more dedicated access paths to the bathrooms without walking through someone else's campsite.
There was no soap in the bathrooms due to, wait for it..., C*vid. LOL, can't make this up.
