What Guests Are Saying

Navajo Lake Campground offers a beautiful setting and a helpful campground host, making it a great destination, especially for tent campers and smaller RVs. While the facilities are a bit dated and the water level is low this year, the clean environment and scenic views are highlights. Some campers noted challenges with tight spots and campfire smoke, but overall, the experience is enjoyable and conducive to reconnecting with nature.

This is a great campground for tent campers or smaller RVs. I have a 12 foot pop up that extends to 22. No problem getting in and out of the site. Water access throughout the campground with clean pit toilets available. The scenery is beautiful with Navajo Lake right across the road. In the middle of June it’s a busy place. We were there on a Friday. Enjoys very close proximity to Cedar Breaks National Monument, which also has a small campground. Cedar Breaks is a smaller version of Bryce Canyon, which itself is little more than an hour away. At close to 10000feet in elevation the temperature dips to about the mid 40’s at night. Not bad for a Utah summer.

We just stayed here for five days and were surprised to find the campground was in a dead zone. It was glorious. Without digital distractions my wife and I were able to reconnect instead of hiding behind our phones. We were also able to get to know our fellow campers
The campground host, Dick, was wonderful. He kept us informed of weather and campfire status throughout trip. He was very attentive and kept the place running well. This despite his management tasking him to tasks at other campgrounds all over the valley. He is a major reason for the five-star review.

Great camp site. I stayed in the upper section. Very clean. Bathrooms very clean. Camp host are good and making sure camp ground is clean
No cell service. It’s above 9k elevation so it’s much cooler and can get cold at night. Beautiful lake. I keep this camp ground on my list

Our 1st time camping here. We had a wonderful 7 days at Navajo Lake (lower campground). All of the sites had a great view and easy access to the lake and they were in excellent condition. The restrooms were the cleanest we've seen in a while and well stocked. Navajo Lake is full from the ample snowfall this last winter. We came mostly to kayak and we weren't disappointed by the experience. We had some rain for a few days but had plenty of opportunity to kayak most of the lake and enjoy all of the quiet and the calm that the lake has to offer. Day trips to Cascade Falls (close by) and Bryce Canyon (not so close) were wonderful, too.
The dump station 2 miles west at the Te-Ah campground has 2 dump ports with only 1 working. The camp host said the other was blocked. Made for an awkward dump (the hose had to go over a curb). "No biggie". Must be flexible while camping :).
We'll be going back to Navajo Lake. At 9000 feet with the cooler temps and quiet slowness, it is a great place to beat the summer heat.

Our family has been longtime patrons of Navajo Lake Campground, having visited for many years. However, our recent visits, including the most recent one, have left us disappointed due to a decline in the quality of service and facilities.

This year, we encountered the worst hosts we have ever encountered at a campground. It was evident that they lacked the attentiveness and professionalism that we had come to appreciate in the past. Furthermore, the bathrooms were not properly cleaned during our stay, which was a significant concern for us. It was disheartening to see such neglect in maintaining a basic necessity for campers.
Upon our arrival, we approached one of the hosts to inquire about the possibility of changing our assigned site, as Site 27 seemed inadequate for our trailer. However, we were met with an unhelpful response. Without allowing us to fully explain our situation, the host quickly directed us to Site 12, stating that they did not want anyone camping next to them. This interaction left us feeling disregarded and unwelcome.

It is worth mentioning that during our previous visit, we were informed that the hosts were absent due to a personal problem. While we understood the circumstances, it was frustrating to not have hosts available to address any concerns or provide assistance when needed. However, we refrained from leaving a review at that time, hoping for a better experience in the future.

Despite our disappointment, we acknowledge that Navajo Lake Campground offers natural beauty and recreational activities that continue to attract visitors. However, improvements must be made in terms of host selection and training, as well as the maintenance and cleanliness of the facilities.
In conclusion, our recent visits to Navajo Lake Campground were marred by inadequate hosts, uncleaned bathrooms, and an unwelcoming attitude.

Thanks.
