The camp hosts are VERY unfriendly and more like camp police. People don’t come from miles around to be interrogated by hosts. Friendly hosts can make suggestions but not treat travelers like they know all the rules and need to be reprimanded for not knowing how the camp rules work. Coming up to me and asking “who are you”? Is not how someone should be approached as a first timer. Anyway, a friendly welcome on PUBLIC lands would be more appropriate.

Camp Host was wonderful. Facility is sparkling clean and the campground is my favorite. If you are going to Pine Valley stay here!

Beautiful, peaceful and lots to do. The host Sherry was nothing less than spectacular and very warming. Any questions I had Sherry had the answer and was more than helpful. The restrooms were nice and clean, firewood for sale onsite if you forgot to get some before you go in to the site, just a overall great experience. 5 stars and or 10 out of 10. I will be going back for sure!!!! And I recommend this Pine Valley for beginners or experienced camping.

This was my 8th year camping at Pine Valley (Dean Gardner campground) and my 11th visit dating back to 2015. Have camped and fished every August with my church group and totally enjoyed every trip. I live in Las Vegas and will reserve three nights for each stay. The campground hosts have been super nice and friendly, with clean sites, and noise limited to 10:00 PM. Siting wildlife around the campground has been an added pleasure: deer, turkeys, ground squirrels, and numerous birds. The reservoir is beautiful and stocked with trout to allow catching my limit on every visit. I would highly recommend Pine Valley but everyone to know how beautiful it is there.

I got in before the campgrounds took out the nice, big, wooden corral in E10 and replaced it with a small, city pipe corral 1/4 the size. WHY did they do this? And there are two of them. I wouldn't put my horse in that even for an hour.

We had a great time. The campsite was really clean. Our biggest complaint was the pollen coming off the pine trees, but know that is not the hosts fault. One tiny complaint was one of the nights there were some loud and rowdy guests one campsite away and they were allowed to be obnoxious until 1am. I don’t know if they finally went to bed, or if the hosts said something to them.

Campsite was wonderful. Bathrooms were clean. Neighbors were loud. Their opinion of everything, all afternoon. We left a day early.

Re: Site E10...Our initial stay had our horse in a beautiful handmade wooden corral about 20' x 20' which is 400 sq. ft. of space. We went today, six days later (6/14/22) and saw the wooden horse corral replaced by a tiny, pipe corral only 10' x 10' which is just 100 sq. ft. and 75% smaller. Both corrals have now lost their campsite look and are terribly small like a holding pens. I would never put put my horse in either. Site E10 is no longer an option for us and we've stayed there twice a year for five years now. Such a shame. They have done the equestrian site a huge disservice.

I’ve been camping at pine valley for as long as I can remember! The last 4-5 years we had been staying in Yellow Pine instead of Dean Gardner. Dean Gardner has a lot of shade but Yellow Pine is a lot more quiet which is really nice. We stayed in Group Site 1 this time! I’ve also stayed in 2 & 3 and they’re both great as well-just single though.
