We had reservations, worked like clock work. Had a good time, pit toilet was spotless and very clean. We went before the holiday so we were glad we missed the crowds.

The camp sites were very clean as were the toilets. The camp host was very friendly. We enjoyed our experience.

One day use site played loud music for five hours. All other campers were great neighbors. The site was well designed and good upkeep.
The dump station was closed, very inconvenient The camp Manager acted like they had no budget to get the dump station operating. The had inexperienced technicians on the job. Poor excuses for a government contractor.

My husband and I were extremely impressed by the Pine Valley campsite! We do a lot of camping in Minnesota and we both agree that Pine Valley is by far the cleanest campsite either of us has been in. Really recommend! It also has the best view of the mountains - we were truly blown away by the scenery.

Stayed in the Equestrian loop. There was not a pen at our site. The hitching rail was not acceptable, was weak and almost falling apart. Not secure. There is how ever a nice pipe corral in the center of the loop, away from our campsite, that was secure for our animals. Did not like the shared water tank. It was nasty dirty. We spent 3 hours draining, scrubbing, cleaning and sanitizing it to make acceptable for our stock to drink out of. Due to weather we were only able to ride the trails one day. The camp ground and area had only been open a week and there were a lot of trees down making a lot of the trails impassable to equine. Had we went later in the year more of the trails would have been cleared. While riding on the trails we encountered 5 sets of hikers, all whom had dogs. Only 1 group had there dog/dogs on a leash. The other four either had no leash or let there dog/dogs run free dragging the leash. Not cool!!! Needs to be posted and/or enforced to make the trails safe for all users! Campground hosts were nice and helpful with information.

Such a beautiful campsite! it was clean (especially the bathroom which surprised me) and mainly quiet; however everyone else that was staying there at the time had trailers or RV’s so there was a constant radiator noise which disrupted the peace in my opinion. the campground itself was wonderful though! we loved walking around during the day, climbing trees and cooking over the campfire. the reservoir is really pretty with the mountains and we loved being able to drink straight from the stream! the weather was perfect, although when we first got there it was raining a bit (but we like that). overall really good experience :)

Pine Valley is a great place to connect with the outdoors. It is beautiful, peaceful, and we enjoy the wild life. You must make a reservation as it is a popular destination.
