Nice mostly quiet campground with nice hot showers and enough shorter walks close by. For all the days there it was EXTREMELY windy where tents were actually being blown away, but luckily we were trailer folk.

The host was exceptionally helpful in describing hikes, including some off the "beaten path". Just the right amount of interaction and useful info.

Absolutely wonderful. The walk from the the campground to the observation point was a particular highlight, so were the ranger lad star gazing programs. Bathrooms were clean, area quiet. If you count them as negatives the cell reception was poor to non existent, and please note the elevation is high enough that if you are coming straight from sea level there will be a period of "There is not enough oxygen here."
All that said I've recommended it to several friends, it's a beautiful park and I'm glad I stayed at this campground.

The altitude is higher here than where we hiked about 20 min away, so plan for that. The grounds were well kept, it was quiet although the site was at capacity. There was ample firewood for sale. There was a flushing toilet and a shower, which were unexpected and very nice and clean.

Nice campground although the campsites are very close together, so there is not much privacy if that's important to you. Clean restrooms and showers! Great campground hosts and the water tastes really good. Loved the night sky ranger program. We had our youngest sons (11 and 13) with us and they were never bored thanks to lots of other kids in the campground. Absolutely recommend this campground and Monument.

The site we had originally chosen (#18) was completely unsuited to a small RV. It was impossible to level up. Your reservation profile should indicate this. Fortunately, the host was able to set us up in a more appropriate site.
