Paris Springs Campground

We reserved site ten and it was not big enough for our 27 ft trailer. We found another family to swap sites with. I would recommend only doing tents at that site. It is a fun spot though with the creek running through. Not every site has a water spigot but you can walk to one fairly close by. (There’s one near site 6) site 7 was closed due to flooding. There’s a spot to park a vehicle but the campsite itself was unusable and blocked for use. (Which makes it a quieter spot to camp next to and a spot for an extra vehicle.) Site 4 is right on the walkway to the springs. The springs are fun to walk to and get in but they are freezing. You can’t tolerate it long. The porta potties are near the group site but a little bit of a walk from other sites. The Paris ice caves are a short driving distance and fun to explore. There’s a walkway around back with a boardwalk if you don’t like to climb. Bear lake and Bloomington lake are a short drive. The gas station nearby has fun treats to buy, the best being homemade cinnamon rolls in the morning. You can get ice and firewood there as well. The camp host is very friendly and accommodating. He was reachable by phone (if you drive down to get service) and came by in the mornings.

We loved our site by the river. The space was tight for two large tents but it worked. I liked that it was shady and had good hammock spots. The downside is that the only two bathrooms were on the other side of the loop. Not too far away, but a large group had parked 6 trailers around both restrooms so it felt like walking into someone’s site every time you had to go. The short trail to the spring was great with kids and the campground was a great spot for a day trip to Bear Lake.

We love Paris Springs campground for the location and ease of getting to the campsite. It is very close to Bear Lake and other attractions.
We noticed this time that the campground was beginning to look run down a bit. We noticed that there is no on-site camp host even though there is a designated spot for one. There is no longer a garbage dumpster on site, and you have to pack out your own garbage. There are also no clear boundaries between group sites and ended up with campers from another group pitching their tents next to our tents. We thought the open area next to our firepit would be part of our site and would not have to worry about sharing.

Site #8 water isn’t working, my only complaint. The Host was very kind and helpful. This campground is close to Bear lake, Paris ice cave, and Bloomington lake. All fantastic spots to explore.

The camp host was really nice and awesome to talk with and the campground is beautiful. We love the river and being close to Bear Lake. But the bathrooms are a major issue because they weren’t well maintained and we had to walk around the entire loop to get to them.

Paris Canyon is a beautiful and peaceful get away. The campsites are clean and well maintained. The hike to the head of Paris Creek is easy and beautiful. We had a wonderful stay with easy travel to family reunion activities all around the Paris and Bear Lake area.

We stayed in Group #1- It was great for the group we had. We had about 25 ppl, and the site had spots for about 6 or so tents.- more if you are less picky. Short hike from site to a cute spring- bathrooms were great; and running water.

Not full shade- plan to bring shade canopies.

Camp host was great.

We loved our campsite--right by the river, a little bridge between the car parking and the campsite, quiet and secluded. The toilets were nearby and clean and it's close to so many fun adventuring spots.
