What Guests Are Saying
Summit View Campground offers a pleasant camping experience with clean facilities and beautiful mountain scenery, making it ideal for large groups and outdoor activities like ATV riding. However, it lacks water availability and garbage disposal, which has been an ongoing issue for the past two years, causing inconvenience for visitors. Despite these drawbacks, the campground is well-maintained, and the camp host is friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience.

We had a very good experience camping. There was some but not unexpected. The rest rooms were clean and the camp ground well taken care of. Group site 14 is poor as a group site but couple with 15 and 16 it works out ok.

Excellent campground host; helpful; polite. Campground was impeccably clean including toilets. LOVED BEING ABLE TO RIDE ATVs directly out of sites! Everyone followed the speed limit rules and were good stewards of the area.

Beautiful canyon and campground, watch out for sheep. Just a few minutes north from Montpelier. There’s a good spot in Montpelier for filling and dumping your trailer/RV.

This year we reserved our site for nine days. On day 7, they shut off the water and posted notices that it was contaminated with E. Coli, and then posted another notice on the entrance board that camping was half-price. We were not offered a refund for the extra days we paid full price. Since there was no clean water to be had, we left two days early.

We had a very good time with our family at the campground. We were in group site 15 so our stay was very good. Bear Lake is a good place to visit while at this campground. Some recommendations of where to deposit trash hauled out would be helpful since there is no trash service at the campground. The restrooms were very clean and well cared for.

Very nice campground. Love the trees and peace and quite. Camp host kept the bathrooms extremely clean. Not a lot of traffic in this campground over the 4th of July. Had a nice relaxing time. Trails to hike and a lake to drive to. Lots to do.

We've stayed in this same site many times over the past several years. This time, the camp host misread our reservation and gave our site to a walkup. When we arrived, we had to wait for them to break down their camp and move, which to their credit didn't take more than about a half-hour. In the grand scheme of things it was a minor hassle, and we'll undoubtedly reserve the same site again this year, but it made for an awkward situation that should never have happened.
