What Guests Are Saying
Ferron Reservoir is a beautiful and well-maintained campground, ideal for family camping with easy access to the water and spacious tent sites. Many visitors enjoyed their time, creating great memories and expressing a desire to return. However, caution is advised for those with regular vehicles or RVs, as the access road is narrow and gravel, making it challenging to navigate.

Although fire restrictions curtailed campfire gatherings our family still had a great time. A lot of time for family togetherness and fishing was good - our ten year old grandson caught an 18" trout which he cleaned to share with his father.
Some fun hikes including a group hike to Petty Peak for a fantastic view of the area were great.

I loved our camping trip to this gem of a reservoir and campground! Fishing was terrific, campsites are cozy and the hosts are great! The hosts are new to this campground this summer and they were very kind and friendly. All the facilities were very clean!
NOTE WHEN COMING FROM GUNNISON/MAYFIELD DIRECTION: Google Maps, as of this writing, will take you onto Forest Rd 0022 and then to Forrest Rd 0023 which, for autos, is a dead end since you would need an ATV to use Forest ATV 413 to continue the route. Instead, where Forest Rd 0023 splits off of Forest Rd 0022, take the left fork to stay on Forest Rd 0022. You will pass through Twin Lakes and come to 12 Mile Flat where a sign is posted, indicating Ferron Reservoir is to the left. Once you take that left, you will continue down into Ferron Reservoir.

love the views, my family loved how close we were to the water.
I did not give excellent due to the 1 hour dirt road we had to drive to get to our destination.
