What Guests Are Saying

Old Folks Flat offers a peaceful and well-maintained camping experience with great facilities and plenty of room for relaxation. The campground is quiet, especially in sites further from the road, and features nice amenities like tables, firepits, and nearby trails. However, some sites can be tight for larger trailers, and the map labeling may cause confusion. Overall, guests appreciate the friendly atmosphere and express a desire to return.

This was a nice quiet campground with only nine spots. We were in site eight, which is further away from the road so I think it was more quiet than those places that were closer to the road. There’s not a good place to turn around at the end of the upper loop if you have a large trailer. Be aware of what they recommend for the maximum length trailer. Our spot was pretty tight for our 19 foot trailer. Some sites do have room for bigger trailers. I would stay here again. It was a nice area.

The sites are incorrectly labeled on the map. What is shown as site 1 (at the end of the loop) is actually site 3 and site 3 is actually site 1. Parking is very limited and the road is narrow making it difficult for trailers. I have a 30 foot fifth wheel trailer and it was very difficult to park in site 1 due to the narrow road. It's also difficult getting out because the road is narrow on parts of the loop at the end of the road. The tables and firepit are nice. There is water right at the site. The flush toilets are good although the restroom needs some maintenance. Tent space is limited and the site can support maybe 3 large tents.

Overall we enjoyed our weekend here but the site is too small for groups larger than about 15 people. We had 10 people and it seemed nearly full.

Great place! Peaceful and so green.
The ranger came by regularly, made us feel safer. Easy to get to and well maintained.

I just wish the water spigot was threaded so I could hook a hose to it. Also wish we had some firewood left in our reserved spot like other campgrounds do.

A good experience, we will be back!

We love this campsite! It has a bridge that you cross to get to campsite, really fun for the kids! Has a few trails close by too.

Pros: beautiful area, flushing toilets, water.
Cons: group site #1 does NOT have enough parking. 5 cars on one side of the road, 5 cars on the other side. If you have fewer cars then you could put a small trailer in the north side parking area. Also, VERY close to road and other camp sites.

First, the web site I used has site number 8 up the road in the shade, and it shows it to be next to the restrooms. Second, the web site stated it could accommodate up to a 20-foot RV, NOT EVEN CLOSE! Third, the new fire pit that was installed just a few days before we arrived was placed just 2 feet from the picnic area. and 3 feet from the back of the parking space for the RV?????? REALLY???
