What Guests Are Saying

Old Folks Flat offers a peaceful and well-maintained camping experience with great facilities and plenty of room for relaxation. The campground is quiet, especially in sites further from the road, and features nice amenities like tables, firepits, and nearby trails. However, some sites can be tight for larger trailers, and the map labeling may cause confusion. Overall, guests appreciate the friendly atmosphere and express a desire to return.

Unfortunately the fire pit is way, way too large. Don't understand why the toilets at site 9 have not been updated to flush toilets as the others are.

Small sites, someone was in about 2/3 of our site w/a travel trailer, looked like a camp host, so we couldn’t get into our site, they weren’t there to ask to move, so we had to go somewhere else, and lost our money. Said they were drive up sites and not suitable for trailers, but there sure was one there.

The campground is nice but has poor signage and layout. You have to drive through other’s campsites to get to yours. The bathrooms are clean and have very big fire pits. It is next to the highway, fortunately it wasn’t busy early in the year.

This is a great site and beautiful setting. We had visited the same site two years ago. At that time there was a campground host. This year (2021) there was no host. We had some very noisy group campers in an adjacent site who "kept it up" until the early morning hours, two nights in a row. Based on their license plates and late departure on Sunday, we assumed they hadn't come from too far away. Hopefully they will put a host back at this site next year and campers will be more respectful of their neighbors.

This is a great site at Old Folks Flat - we were in Group Site #1. The picnic tables, food prep area and fire ring area were terrific. Be careful as to the size of RV you want to park at the site. While it looks like there is plenty of room for 3 or four RVs or trailers, manuevering them into the parking area is a significant challenge. This is due to trees very close on the inside of curves, and posts and large rocks lining the roadside and parking area. These leave little to no room to back a trailer into the site. Other than that, the site was wonderful for our 3-night stay for a family gathering.

The campsite was fantastic! Not only was the site amazing, but the camp host was so helpful and kind. We had a great time!
