What Guests Are Saying
Kents Lake Campground is praised for its beautiful scenery, lake access for various activities, and a generally peaceful atmosphere. Many visitors appreciated the spaciousness of the campsites, which provide privacy, and noted the friendly camp host. However, there are concerns regarding the cleanliness of the restrooms and the camp host's lack of responsiveness to maintenance issues, which detracted from some experiences.

This was the very first camp trip my family went on after purchasing a trailer. The campground was lovely and peaceful. Such a memorable experience for my two young children. On a side note - the road getting here is terrifying though. Single lane, dirt road with sharp turns. Probably not the smartest road to travel for your first time driving a 31ft travel trailer. Regardless, we still had a blast. I just closed my eyes as my husband drove up and down the winding road.

Great Campsite. Beautiful lake. 6ish mile bumpy dirt road to get there which is totally fine if you are expecting it or coming in during daylight.

Gorgeous camping spot. We had site 5, with views of the lake and privacy from our neighbors. Just a short walk down to the lake for some early morning fishing!

Kent's Lake is characteristically suffering from Algae Blooms. That is a result of excessive nutrient rich nitrogen coming from the cattle which roam freely throughout the camp ground. The cattle defecate and urinate in the small streams, and everywhere else in the camp, which feed the lake. We cannot see but maybe a few inches below the surface of the water because of the algae. We have seen fish just pop up dead may be caused by oxygen deficiency which is a direct result of the exorbitant nutrient rich forming algae.
It is a beautiful area with a sick lake.
It was a dry and busy campground with folks driving too fast, being discourteous, dusting everyone.
The pull-throughs are narrow and misrepresented. Anyone with an RV over 37' and a long bed truck will have difficulties getting in and out. One individual with a 38' RV and truck almost had to call professional movers to get out. His rig suffered damage.
The camp host was a very nice person of upmost integrity.
We will not go back.

The camp host at Kent's Lake was wonderful! He greeted us when we arrived, stopped by to see if we needed anything, and when we were packing up, he stopped to help load and tie down kayaks. The campgrounds were quiet and bathrooms were very clean. My only complaint about Kent's Lake is that the premium camp sites near the water are first come, and only the sites that are a long haul away from the water can be reserved. People reserve a site for backup and then grab a water site when they arrive, leaving many empty sites. This reservation assignment for Kent's Lake needs to be modified and either all sites can be reserved, or sites away from the water are first come.
