My family had the best time here! Its so beautiful and the river is so much fun. Tubing and just relaxing. The camp host Stew is a great guy so helpful and nice. Made new friends here for sure!

Perfect location in between Pineview and Causey reservoirs. We had campsite #11 which is right next to the river and had a nice little area the kids could wade in (although some previous campers had thrown some watermelon slices in the water that were stuck there now). Lots of tubers coming down the river and that looked like a lot of fun...definitely something we'll bring next time. We had a fair amount of distance from the campsite up the river from us, but the double campsite on the other side was really close to ours (fortunately it was vacant for the time we were there!). We did have to pay the $9 fee for having an extra car since we had two others in our party come up in a different car. This fee doesn't really make sense to me since our two small cars still take up less space than a truck pulling an RV, but that wasn't really a big deal. Causey is perfect for paddleboarding and kayaking (and even just sightseeing a super unique and beautiful lake) and there were even some people cliff jumping from the other side of the lake. Pineview is great for fishing and for the beach experience. We paid the day use fee at the campground there (I think it was like $18) since that beach didn't appear to be as crowded as the free one. Water was quite warm actually and the sand even got so hot it was uncomfortable to stand on, but there was lots of shade from the trees along the bank behind us. All in all a great trip and you really couldn't ask for a better location on this campsite.

We had a nice campground. But our experience was not the best, because of how rude the campground host was. He came into our campground, yelling about how we owe him for an extra vehicle. I was already aware that we would need to pay a fee for the extra vehicle, and didn't need to be yelled at for this. Also, we found a live rattle snake in our campground, and informed the campground host of this. He didn't seem concerned at all, and did nothing about it. We thought he should have put up a notice or something, warning people that a rattle snake had been sighted in the campground, and to watch your children especially. He did nothing. We would have had a nice experience camping, if it hadn't been for him.

Loved this site. The only problem was we were harassed when we used our generator to cool us off in the afternoon.

Even though it was a holiday weekend and the camp was packed, it was SO peaceful and enjoyable! Lots of access points to the river, lots of fun for the kids!
