Exactly what it looks like, good for inexperienced campers or simply people who like their amenities, but not for you if you want a more private experience. The nearby quarry exhibit hall and cub creek petroglyphs were lovely.

Everything was in good orderly condition. I did have to walk the campgrounds to find a tent pad that wasn’t covered in ants.

Very nice campground. Next to the river with shade in several of the campsites. It is hard to tell which sites have shade from the pictures.

Camp was clean and reserved when we arrived, back from the road a little ways. We were a site 10 which was at the far end of the loop. Two things though, at that particular site there is a small trial that leads to the river to a secluded beach.. Before we got there a number of people (6) had decided to picnic and fish down there unbeknownst to us . We had set up camp and all of sudden had people walking through our campsite. They had taken quite a few items down and had to do a couple of trips . We wanted to check out the park after we set up camp but were apprehensive after that . We did but pretty much packed up and just left the tents while we were gone. The bathrooms were clean overall and there was water . Campground was full but did not experience any noisy generators or loud people. Would camp at this campground again but maybe in a different spot.

A great location to pitch up for a night or two. Great scenery, secure and safe spot with the added benefit of having a flushing toilet. As it is a Dark Sky Park the National Park Service was running different talks through out the evening, including a get to know the Dark Sky stargazing event that was incredible and run in the campground. Would highly recommend an stay again should I be in the area and looking for somewhere to stay!

We have a 10x20" tent for our family, so I avoided the sites that specified "small tent" in their descriptions. The one we ended up with could have accommodated our tent in two different spots, I think. At any rate there was plenty of room. We got there late enough that my husband was setting up with the assistance of the car headlights plus a headlamp that was swarmed by mosquitos and other small insects - but this is by the river, so O well. We just made sure to keep lights off inside the tent until everything was zipped up. Our spot was also only two spots away from the bathrooms, which were clean enough by camping standards and also provided water sources for drinking and washing up.
If anyone actually reads these reviews... a note to the conscientious: there are instructions about washing dishes. You're supposed to get water at the tap and then take it back to your site to wash up, and then strain it and throw the solids into the big bins before pouring the grey water into the drain at the foot of the tap. I had no idea and hadn't brought an extra container with me, so I just had to strain my dishwater through a thin towel (NOT a paper towel) right over the drain grate. At least no one else was wanting to wash up just then.
The hike along the Green River is fun. We only went a little way because we had lots of short legs and were anxious to get off to the dinosaur fossils, but it was good to explore.

We were only there for a night but cannot wait to go back to spend more days there to explore the trails. The campsite is very nice with the most beautiful views no matter which site you camp in. Highly recommend staying for a clean campsite and exploring the outdoors!

Very pretty campground and this site was very nice. Lots of shade and space. Perfect to pitch a tent. Bathrooms are super close but they were never noisy. Not close to the river but you can still hear it.
