What Guests Are Saying

Split Mountain Group Campground offers a scenic landscape with beautiful surroundings, abundant wildlife, and access to recreational activities like hiking and river play. While the sites along the river may not be ideal for tents due to heat and sun exposure, the campground provides clean facilities and a friendly atmosphere. Group arrangements can be less than ideal for communal gatherings, but the amenities and overall beauty of the area make it a worthwhile destination for those planning outdoor adventures.

I didn't use the facilities here but the campground was quiet. The camp host didn't hassle anyone (like sometimes happens). Nice hikes from off the campground and we spent a couple of hours looking at rocks and throwing them into the river and sitting and staring at the rock wall and river. Would come again!

Best campsite in Utah! Josie's cabin and Box Canyon (trail near bathrooms) are our favorite places.

Not a good site for tent only camping. Wind was very strong during our stay and it turned into a sand storm. We could hardly cook anything. Ground was filled with red ants and to top that, there was a fire restriction.

Peggy, the volunteer camp host, was delightful and had good suggestions. She also appropriately responded when members of our group notified her that 7 of the group had not returned from a river tubing float. So happy for the rescue.

Such a beautiful place to stay. The scenery was amazing. The grounds were nice and clean. And the hosts were very on point as well. I would go back again.

Nice campgroud. Ample room. A little buggy that time of year (July) but that's not the Campground's fault! LOL!

I was welcomed and shown my site and given a clear explanation of rules and which amenities were not working. My only problem with this whole are was the huge manifestation of horse flies and mosquitos.

Other than that, I was extremely satisfied with the grounds.
