What Guests Are Saying
Split Mountain Group Campground offers spacious sites, clean facilities, and a beautiful landscape ideal for group gatherings. Camp hosts are friendly, and there's ample wildlife and river access for recreation. However, some sites lack shade and may not be suitable for tents, and the campground's layout can lead to separation among groups.

The sites are large with lovely large, mature cottonwood trees for shade. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean with running water, power, and flush toilets. The star gazing here is magical.

These Group Sites are not group sites but 3 campsites labeled as "Group D". The bummer is that usually in group sites there is a shade structure for hanging out away from the rain or sun. We were really hoping for an opportunity to have a great night after being on our Gates of Ladore river trip...but alas we were spread out! On a side note the bathrooms are really clean and the sites are really clean!

We absolutely loved it! When will definitely be back. The scenery is out of this world and the bathrooms were always spotless. What an incredible experience!

Love this campground! Always clean and the location is perfect on the River and close to Dinosaur monument. The group sites are big enough for multiple families. River front sites don’t have shade but interior lots have plenty.
