Lake, forest and general location is A+. A beautiful area. Camp sites are tight; close together, but we had "good neighbors". However, bathrooms were dark and toilets dirty for both days we stayed; very smelly (even for older pit toilets). We stayed mid-week and hoped for cleaner bathrooms after the busy weekend (it's always crowded on weekends). The toilets at the lower trailhead parking lot just below the campground were especially "hold your breath" bad; flies swarming inside; seemed neglected.

Camp and bathrooms are clean, the camp hosts are awesome, and Mirror Lake is gorgeous. Bugs are aggressive, but seem to stay away if one uses Off! Will be heading to Mirror Lake again even though it’s a 12 hour drive. It’s that great.

Camp hosts were very rude. I pulled in early and they came zooming over in their cart yelling at me that I cannot get into the campsite early. They said they can't do their job if people like me arrive early. No one was in this spot. I explained that the parking lot was full. They said that wasn't their problem. I have never been told I couldn't pull in early in the 40 plus years I have been camping in the Uintas. Especially rude people! When I did come back at the time they said I could, it didn't look like they did anything with my spot. The fire pit still had charred wood and there was garbage on the ground. So I do not understand why I couldn't park there. I had to drive around and use gas and pollute the air even more with car emissions! The restrooms were horrible! The ones at the lake could not even be used! One side was so full it was overflowing and the other had feces all over the seat and floor. The restrooms in the campground were not much better. I never saw them being cleaned. I am so glad I have my own facilities. I have been coming to Mirror Lake since I was a child and this year was the worst I have ever seen. Less than a month ago, I was at Payson Lakes. The restrooms were spotless. The campground host was always around checking on things, cleaning and very nice! What an incredible difference. I hope Mirror Lake shapes up. It is such a shame! Very disappointed!
Also, the roads were so full of potholes, I don't know how some RVs made it through without serious damage. I am very lucky I didn't rip something off the underside of my van.

Beautiful campground and good amenities. I really wish they could get the bark beetle under control as it's killing all of the pine trees in the Uintah's.

We had a great time at the lake. We loved our spot. We were frustrated when we got to the campground and found out there was no water for washing hands, dishes etc. Then when we came home, we had received notice for our upcoming trip...3 days after we were already there, it also had no notice about no running water. If we had just received an email PRIOR to us going to the campground, we could've planned better for our trip by taking additional water instead of having to drive to Kamas for the water.

Great place to camp. Very high country (11.0000 feet) so the temperature is very cool. We were there mid-July and the daytime high was about 68* and at night it got down to 45*. It rained a little each day but never a total wash-out. The lake is nice, good fishing, and lots of hiking available. We highly recommend this camping area.

Mirror Lake is the terrific get away from the valley heat. When temps were in the 90's we were in the 70's. Disappointed that the roads have not been paved, and there was no running water in the campground - while they charge $24/night. Never had a campground that won't allow a check in until 3:00P.

The camp hosts were extremely rude because we showed up to our campsite a little early. They were yelling at us and shaming us and treated us with so much disrespect. Our neighbors were up until 2:00 in the morning laughing and yelling even though quiet time starts at 10:00 and no one enforced that rule. Bathrooms were disgusting. We will never return.

On our arrival at out campsite on July 5th, we found out that there was no water. Our campground host was helpful and told us we could get water at a campsite 4 miles away or down in Kamas, but that there probably would be water for at least 10 days. This wouldn't have been an issue had we known before arrival. Considering that this is known as a premier campsite in the Uintah's it could desperately use some maintenance. The dirt roads have huge potholes, and the toilets are very outdated.
