For several years until this past September, Dripping Springs had the best campground host I’d encountered during my previous 25 or more years of camping there 5 or 6 times a year. He was eliminated for no obvious reason other than he was too courteous and efficient! During my stays in January, March and April, I found the campsites to be littered and not cleaned up and the pit toilet completely devoid of toilet paper several times. During my recent stay in April for 10 nights, the dumpster was full and the pit toilet was not maintained properly and there was no host to monitor the reckless, speeding driving through the campground. American Land and Leisure needs to be replaced by a vendor who actually cares about the campground experience in our National Forests!

I have stayed at this campground for over 15 years and have never had a problem. This time two items were stolen from my campsite. A six gallon water jug and a RV leveler block. What is wrong with this country?????

the bathrooms were closed. unbelievable to rent a group campsite and not info the campers.

The campground has nice sites, is very clean and very quiet. We were there for fishing as most of the campers appear to be. The surrounding area still shows scars from a fire in the area years ago but vegetation is growing back nicely. We would stay at dripping springs again.

We arrived late after a 4-1/2 hour drive our spot was marked and reserved. Our campsite was clean , the restrooms were clean . Will definitely stay there again

I really like dripping Springs campground. I’ve been coming here for about 35 years. They have running water in the bathroom and a flushing toilet. This is definitely a plus. There was no campground host there for the first part of our trip this time. They’re usually is. But it was all still good.

Attendants kept the grounds spotless. The infrastructure needed some maintenance - the wooden tables desperately needed to be stripped and refinished. The location next to little hole and the proximity to the dam are hard to beat.

From Vernal, Utah, take U.S. 191 north for 47 miles. Turn off U.S. 191 just north of Dutch John onto Forest Road 075. Travel east about 3 miles to the campground.
From Manila, Utah, take Highway 44 for 28 miles. Turn left on U.S. 191 and go north for about 11 miles. Turn off U.S. 191 just north of Dutch John onto Forest Road 075 and go east about 3 miles to the campground.
From Rock Springs, Wyoming, take I-80 west toward Green River about 6 miles to the junction with U.S. 191/Flaming Gorge Road. Take U.S. 191 south for about 62 miles to Dutch John. Turn off U.S. 191 just north of Dutch John onto Forest Road 075 and go east about 3 miles to the campground.
Dripping Springs Campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 191, which connects to I-80 approximately 62 miles to the north. From both Vernal and Manila, U.S. 191 is the main route leading to the campground.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fees & deposits
- To use facilities outside the campground, purchase a Recreational Use Pass. Daily is $5, weekly $15, and annual $35, per vehicle.
- Senior passes must be entered during booking for discounts on single sites only.
- An extra vehicle incurs a fee of $10 per day, payable by cash or check.
Site capacity
- Single site fee covers 1 vehicle; maximum capacity is 2 vehicles. An extra fee applies for the second vehicle. Only 1 sleeping unit is allowed per site.
Utilities
- No dump station is available at the campground; the nearest dump station is 8.1 miles away at Deer Run Campground.
- Drinking water is available from mid-late May to mid-September; no water hookups are provided.
- Dump stations are available at nearby locations: Antelope Flat, Deer Run, Firefighters, and Lodgepole, with a fee applicable.
Amenities
- Showers are available at Deer Run and Mustang Ridge for registered campers.
Fires & fuel
- To prevent pests, obtain firewood near your destination and burn it on-site; do not move firewood from other locations.
