Dripping Springs is in a great location. Each Family site has a covered picnic table. It's very convenient for access to the Green River. However, I reserved two sites, next to each other, #7 and #11. After we had arrived and set up, another group arrived who said they had also reserved site #7. The Camp Host did not have any good solution. Luckily, our group was small enough and we were nice enough to move all our group to #11 and let the other folks have #7. The next night, we stayed in #11, and we let the Camp Host reserve #7 to another group, as it was a busy time. I believe I should be refunded for the two nights I reserved at #7, since we did not use it, and it was rented out to other groups both nights, so Rec.gov got paid twice!

The new camp host Bud did a good job. Sure miss Lee Miller who was the year round host for several years. Not so sure American Land and Leasure is a good company at managing campgrounds. Hopefully the forest service will look for a better company.

The location and camping areas are good. We enjoyed our time. I specifically reserved a site with flushing toilets adjacent so our group would have easy access. The toilets were out of order for our entire stay. The next closest toilets were also not working. Leaving a long walk to use the bathroom. There was no notification prior to arrival.

Attendants kept the grounds spotless. The infrastructure needed some maintenance - the wooden tables desperately needed to be stripped and refinished. The location next to little hole and the proximity to the dam are hard to beat.

I really like dripping Springs campground. I’ve been coming here for about 35 years. They have running water in the bathroom and a flushing toilet. This is definitely a plus. There was no campground host there for the first part of our trip this time. They’re usually is. But it was all still good.
