What Guests Are Saying
Lucerne Campground is praised for its beautiful location, clean facilities, and friendly staff, with many visitors enjoying the scenic views and proximity to the marina. However, recent reviews indicate a decline in maintenance, with issues such as unclean restrooms, lack of staff presence, and inadequate signage for campsite setups. Despite these drawbacks, many long-time campers remain fond of the area and appreciate the natural beauty and spaciousness of the campground.

Have been coming here for over 15 years. Its the worst I've ever seen. Contact station hosts were rude. What green grass that is there, hasn't been mowed yet this year (May already). Some bathrooms locked and out of order. Showers locked and no hot water. New loops that they made reservations for and then cancelled on members of our party because they say they are not finished yet. No exchange for other sites, just too bad...The whole place needs better management and major repairs on the existing stuff before building new....

They badly need to turn on the water for the grass. It was SO DRY Stickers coming up through!!! It was horrible for kids to play on or dogs too enjoy. Also they need to make more separations for placing dry items you take to use showers in LOOP B .. only 1 shower room has any place to lay dry items and keep them from getting wet. The sign said out of service on the other showers!!
Also wonder why the camp hosts don't police the camp sites better for trash left behind? We had to pick up led light strips left on the pavement of the camp site. Please turn water on grass. The site post was missing a metal clip to hold reciept. Shabby look.

The showers were secured, no hot water.
The only one open was 2 loops away and the showers needed cleaning due to the only showers for all four loops. Half of the toilets are also closed due to clogging but were clean for the most part.

Grass was not cut, looked like the side of the road instead of a improved Campground. Showers, only 2 of 8 were working. Seems a little disorganized from check in to facilities. Never seen the campground looking so unkept.

This is an annual trip for us. We camped in spot A16 for 10 days, May 3rd - 14th. The weather is always unsettled this early, and our stay was no exception. Winds over 25 kts, gusts to 40 for six days, plus snow and rain for five days. We got in four days of fishing with good results, mostly lunkers and rainbows. Others were catching kokanee shallow (25') but we didn't. The electric service sites are 50 amp, and construction last year and over the winter has added 50 amp service to most of the other loops (D and E.) Many FCFS sites were open during the week. Weekends were about 80% full. Prices are reasonable, sites are clean, wide and well-spaced. The dump station still charges a fee but it's now a credit card instead of having to buy tokens. We prefer the drive-through crescent spaces where we can park both the 40' 5th wheel, the F450 truck, the F150 and the 20' boat and trailer without encroaching on the road. The annual fishing tournament is middle of May and we try to fish before the lake gets hammered. All in all, a great place to camp.

This place was absolutely amazing!! The campground was clean, well organized, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I paid for two nights and did one night first come first serve. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I will definitely be coming back 2-3 times next year!!

A great campground with very nice amenities, ample room sites with great fire rings and picnic table patio areas. it's in a great location for the lake with a public access and a marina that you can dock your boat for a fee. We had heard of Antelope roaming the campground which was very cool. We will be back!

The campground was beautiful and peaceful. Lots of animals and there’s a walk you can do around the campground that’s easy and pretty.
The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because the website says to call if you are going to arrive after 7. We tried but no one answered and there’s no way to leave a voicemail.
It turns out that they close down early at around 3 some days. They should update this on the website. We were worried about not being able to get through to anyone about our late arrival.

Front office was wonderful! Was able to get a site that I’ve wanted for quite a while. Everything is always so clean and the staff is so very friendly. Totally enjoy our yearly visit.
