Lucerne Campground

The park was clean and well kept. Plenty of room between campers. The only thing that was troublesome was that patrons did not adhere to the leash law for dogs.

Didn't like that they weren't watering the lawn. Didn't like the noise of the construction and the smell of the trucks. The bathrooms were very clean.

The good: Site was clean, level, easy access in and out and had a nice view of the water. In my short stay I did observe some wildlife; an Osprey nest viewable from my campsite and some Pronghorn in the grassy fields leading into the campground. So that was nice. There was a decent cell signal as well (Verizon)

The bad: I booked 2 nights (late July) here but only stayed one night due to severe storms. My campervan was rocking in the extreme wind. Also, the campground was under construction making it less pleasant to stay. I did not use the restrooms. They charged for dumping, it said $10 on the sign but when my credit card charge came through it was $7. Also, the staff seem to keep bankers hours so there was no one at checkin when I arrived at around 5pm and no one there when 8 left at around 10am and I never saw any camp hosts.

I would probably not stay here again since I observed several better options on my drive in.

Lucerne campground has electric hook-ups on selected campsites, which is very nice, paved parking and water spouts are close. Flush toilets and showers are helpful to have. Picnic tables are nice, especially the covered ones! Lots of pot-guts running around! Fun to see the Antelope roaming thru camp.

We have stayed at this campground twice now and love the location. The first time we stayed in A loop and wished there was a covered area as it was really hot! This trip we stayed in D loop and had the covered area and it was so nice!! This trip we had a couple camped next to us that left their dog unattended during the day in the heat and also never cleaned up their dog poop. We watched the poor dog outside for 4 days in the heat, gave it some extra water and pets as we felt so sorry for it. The owners would pay attention to it a couple of times and that's it. They never let the dog inside, even at night! They were with another family who had 5 dogs inside their trailer the entire time except to let them out to potty which they never picked up after either! We were glad they both finally left after 4 days of this. We told the camp host about the dog poop and they didn't bother to clean it up. That was very frustrating! Other than that we had a great time and again, loved the covered area and the location.

It will be nice when the water can be turned on for green grass as it used to be. Love the staff! And excited for the new loops to be finished! Prairie Dogs holes hopefully do not take over.

Clean campsites (fire pits are amazing!), restrooms & showers. This is our 6th year returning to this campground/lake & love the memories we make here. Highly recommend!

All the hosts were the best. All the bathrooms were very clean. Even the non flush out house was clean and Oder free. Special thanks to Ron, Dixie and Miguel. There is a (pot guy) Uinta groundhog problem. They are very destructive. They chewed holes in our rugs a pair of gloves and my boat cover that I rolled up and put under my camp trailer. There is literally hundreds of them little buggers that need to be eliminated. In my opinion!

Well maintained, close to the marina, clean bathrooms. Nice camp spots easy to back the fifth wheel
