Takes literally WEEKS to click on the reservation "engine" at just the righ second to get a reservation.
Great campground--close to jeeping and hiking trails. Heated restrooms and warm running water for washing.
Park employees and contractors do a fabulous job--cleaning the restroons first thing every morning, campground host and ranger make daily stops, helpfu ionformattion at visitor center for backcountry roads and trails, and the hNdy Needles Outpost just 15 min away.
Have been coming here for 35 years (life was simpler early-on!) But always a favorite spot.

Needels district of the Canyonlands is accessible, yet it feels like you are very far away. Hiking is excellent. Campground host, Jeff, was very helpful and friendly. The park ranger, however, drove by each day very fast and never stopped by. Seems like there were a lot of kids screaming and running around this time. I may be getting to be an old lady by now, but we all enjoy the desert for it's beaty and solitude. What happened to teaching your preasures once respect for others? Ye....

Loved this campground, perhaps my favorite in all the Utah national parks. Feels quieter and more intimate than most of the others — takes a little more of a journey to get out there and people linger for a few days. Loved getting to chat with a few of the other campers!
