We camped in the mid of April this year and it was great! Our campsite was big enough for 8 people and it says that the maximum number of people was up to 16 and max for vehicles is 2, but when we got there it says on the post next to our campsite # max vehicles is 4 and we had 3 cars that was perfect!!! The bathroom was cleaned, but no showers. It was quiet at night time and we heard some cows mooing. It was great! Will definitely come back here.

Space 5 provided great view of mountains and the plant growth and bushes afforded a lot of privacy.

My campsite was clean, most of the ashes at the firepit were cleaned out.
The main bathroom was clean and plenty of toilet paper, and the lights are on all night.

Quiet hours were not enforced. At 1am people on Friday night in adjacent sites were loud. Several campers left the next day due to unpleasant experience. No one came to enforce or check on campground. Two sites that were to be First Come were reserved by USFS even though only one was occupied the other remained unoccupied or unavailable to campers. More sites need to be First Come instead of so many as reservable. Restore and open up the Camisa Loop for camping. It has been closed for over 10 years. Open it!

I have been camping at least once a year at Oak Grove for over 20 years. The facilities are comfortable. Since reservations are now required, the host stopped by as we were setting up to make sure we had a reservation. He was very friendly and professional.
However, on Friday afternoon, a very large group that had several sites came in and were very noisy. It appeared they used the site next to ours as their place to congregate. They consisted of children, teenagers and young adults. Although they were not rowdy, they were very noisy, playing music until late at night which could be heard throughout the campground. Friday night, several of the men in the group talked loudly until about 1:30 Saturday morning, keeping my wife and I awake. Saturday night the group quieted down by 10 pm, only because someone from the USFS came by and talked to them about their noise. The group had several large dogs that ran loose throughout the campground. Several other campers told them dogs had to be on leashes, but the group ignored them.
What was most disappointing was we did not see the host making rounds all day Saturday up until when we left Sunday morning, or else he would have seen the several dogs running loose and heard the loud music.

People camped at next door site partied until 1:30 am. I left a day early due to their inconsideration of others.

My stay at Oak Grove campsite was OK it is not a place that I will be staying at again. Campers allowed to be noisy even until 12:30 at night the campground is poorly maintained and the toilets were green. Bring water and firewood since the spigots are unreliable and firewood is not sold at the campground.
