Site #31 on October 22, 2022. Clean and well organized campground which offers spacious, private, camping sites managed by a friendly host. Newbie camper on a solo weekend adventure. Happy I found this gem which is blanketed by starry skies, inside a pocket of mountain ranges, brightened in the day with oceanic skies. Good location to visit Palomar Mountain, Eagle Rock, Julian, and Old Towne Temecula from DTLA. The terrain of the cpgrpund is nicely leveled. There were no signs of erosion nor debris after raining all night with gusts of 40mph. I used this campsite to field test my winter backpacking gear. I really enjoyed tenting it here thanks to the facility and it's location.

The camp host was very friendly, and it’s a pretty area. Just wish there were more spots with some shade. I don’t think I would camp here in summer heat, unless we brought a couple canopy’s. It was a nice spot though and plenty of trails and spots to explore in the area. We were there during a storm and that was fun!

Lovely little spot to stay at for the month of oct.
We reserved 040, Ribbonwood, it's a double spot so we had plenty of room for our small travel trailer, our Colorado and two more cars. its a nice shady spot.
The whole campground was reserved but to my surprise 70% of the reservations didn't show up because of the rain. so definitely keep your eye on cancelations if its ever booked.
The camp host "Rick" is very friendly and will gladly give you any info you need, maybe even a history lesson about "Beauty Mountain" if you're lucky.
keep in mind he's working the place alone and is doing his best. Restrooms were always stocked with TP.
flushing toilets were working just fine as well.

The location was easy to find, as was the campsite and the camp wardens were super friendly and kept the bathrooms and sites clean.
We went in Oct, and there were a lot of flies and red ant mounds, so I'd recommend taking precautions. There aren't trashcan at the sites either, so keep that in mind.
There is a local gas station nearby with everything you could possibly need, if you accidentally left something behind or needed last minute firewood.
Some sites don't have a lot of shade and some are very nice and shady. It was also nice at night for looking at the moon.
I liked this campground a lot and would definitely go again.

We were on a double site in the ribbonwood loop. The site was clean, had plenty of shade, flush toilets were clean, however it had past stains. I wish this site had shower, but we brought our own portable shower tent, which worked. Camp site was not crowded. We hiked one of the trails across the road. Overall a wonderful experience.

This campground is nice. Most campsites are well placed and fairly private. The camp host is pleasant. It lacks in scenery. It’s next to a farm so occasional unpleasant smells persist. We didn’t get to hike the nearby trail across the road which may have enhanced our scenery experience. Overall though we liked it. Campsite 44, Ribbonwood Loop. Oct. 2022 visit.

Quiet, especially on the weeknights. We were one of two people in this campground the entire 3-day stay! The facilities are decent, and running water is abound. It can get hot, but overall, it's a nice, easy-going campground.

The camp was great. A little far off the grid which I appreciated. The kids had a lot of fun running around. Looking forward to doing that again! It's a bomb having the little market 5 miles to the south. They have everything you might have forgotten at home and they have firewood. It's perfect.
