Nice campground. We stayed at site 57, which was partially shaded. Most campsites stayed empty the one night we were there, flush toilets were clean. During the day you can hear the sound of traffic going by on the road but at night it’s all nature sounds, the leaves dropping from trees, animals- dogs, coyotes, a cow, plus all the animals walking through all the foliage. There is a lot of tiny insects here, tons of ants, we swept the area to try and move them, but they did not bother us although we were careful with our daughter playing in the dirt. Not only ants but we kept finding spiders and insects all over us throughout the time. Overall a good place to stay if you want a short get away.

This was maybe my 5th time staying at this campground and unfortunately it will have to be my last. It has really gone downhill. The daytime and nighttime noise were awful. People were driving remote control cars, flying drones, yelling. It was far from peaceful. It's within the rules, I suppose, to be loud during the day, but quiet hours should be enforced. People at the next campsite were up way past quiet hours. I went to the camp host's trailer and knocked several times but he did not answer the door. What's the point of having a host if he doesn't enforce quiet hours?? Finally, after the neighbors went quiet, there was a loud barking dog, which many reviews have mentioned. If you are looking for peace, this is not the place. If you're deaf, though, it could be great.

Lovely campground. People camping here seemed very nice and respectful of others. Even the partyers kept the noise down. Not a lot of hiking nearby but we were happy to walk around the campground.
It is a bit sad to see so many trees being taken out, presumably due to bark beetle.
View from our site overlooked the neighboring farm, it was lovely to watch the birds, squirrels, gophers and cows doing their thing.
My biggest gripe is the camp host who was not very hosty. His site looked like a scrap yard, he has a big sign saying "beware of dog", we only saw him once walking his dog and he did not say hello to anyone.
SR79 is an absolute beauty of a road, just be aware of some motorcyclists riding too fast.

Was very peaceful and quiet on the weekdays we were there, but campground is overgrown with weeds, picnic tables desperately need refinishing.

Rick the Camp Host was knowledgeable and helpful. I camped the same time last year and hope to return for longer next year.
