Absolutely beautiful! The 100+ year old ponderosa pines were a real treat. The camp is beautifully kept and well stocked. The cement pads surrounding the picnic tables and fire rings are a nice luxury. Salt creek running through camp made for a lovely soundscape.

Site 19 is small small small. Barely enough room for one 6 man tent. It’s set up on a hill so there is no room to expand. One side of camp slopes down the road, the other side is fenced and has a steep slope down to the creek. Access to hop the fence and go down the creek is right next to camp. It’s nice to only have campers on one side of you. There is no site on the other side which gave a bit more privacy and solitude.

All around lovely camp that me and my kids can’t wait to come back to.

We have camped at Ponderosa many times and have loved it! But this time they did not have any water and we were not notified ahead of time, we would have liked to have been notified.
We had to go back to town to fill up our tank at a gas station.

Nicely shaded. Right next to the river. Really close to another campsite, so you’ll have neighbors.

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.

    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.

Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
