Ponderosa campground is one of our favorite campgrounds because itβs only an hour from our home. Itβs grove of trees and itβs rushing stream are so peaceful. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. And the hosts are friendly and helpful.

Ponderosa Campground, Unita, is our favorite place to camp. It is quite, beautiful, and relaxing. We love it here.
There is no cell phone service here, however, which we wish it had. We would have to drive down the canyon until we got service to call family or check on family.

Our stay was really nice and the campsites we had were both very secluded. The restrooms were super clean and every morning the host cleaned them out for the odor and overall cleanliness. Other than the crazy storm we had , it was a perfect trip. Will definitely be coming back again.

It is one of my favorite camp grounds when I just want to get away to nature. No cell coverage, but good sites with trees and in the evening you can see the wildlife. Deer, Moose, turkeys and large raptors in the sky.
