Hidden Gem. Quieter than most campgrounds. Nice creek running all the way through it. Above average tree cover if you like shade. We visit every year; early season is great!

It gets dark here at night, so remember your flashlight/headlamp and/or firewood.
I didn’t notice any mosquitos, so that was nice.
The Deer Creek Trail was not clearly marked when I took it (had fallen trees across the path; forked at one point, and ultimately ended at a dry creek bed which I suppose could have been the destination), but the view was still rewarding.

Nice campground but difficult to find our spot (no map at the entrance and no ranger at the campsite) we drove back to the closest campground and rangers were helpful
Campsites are really close to each other and we had noisy neighbors
our site was number 17 and we could not park our car at our campsite (parking lot was pretty close though)

From I-15 take Springville exit 260. Continue east, towards Springville, through the intersection of Main Street and Highway 400 South. At the four-way stop at the end of 400 South, turn right onto Canyon Road. Keep heading east up Canyon Road for about 6 miles. After passing Hobble Creek Golf Course, the road will fork; stay to the right. Balsam Campground is approximately 6 miles from the golf course past the junction of Forest Roads 132 and 058.
Balsam Campground is accessible from I-15 via the Springville exit (260). The campground is approximately 6 miles from the intersection of Canyon Road and Highway 400 South.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
