Campground was clean and well kept. The camp host was friendly and helpful. Water and sewer disposal is available in the campground. The cute pie store and other sites are within walking distance

Such a lovely spot! Probably the nicest most relaxing place I have camped at. Red canyon walls surround the campground and the Fremont River runs right through it. The Gibson Family farm right next to the campground serves fresh baked goods (pies, bread and cinnamon rolls) daily. They also have a gift shop with many home canned items.
The campground has three loops and only one allows you to run your generator, which on our fourth day became a problem for us so we moved outside the campground to run the generator. The campground is positioned to allow for many short hikes, playing in the river, and access to the Scenic Route of the park. I only wish that we had had a vehicle 23ft or less (our RV is 26 ft) in order to go into the Grand Wash and other interesting areas of the park. We also made use of the day use areas to exercise our dogs which was really wonderful. I cannot say enough about the Fruita Campground and Capitol Reef National Park. We LOVED IT!

The sites were spacious, there weren't too many of them, and the bathrooms were easily reachable from any of them. The night sky is amazing from the park, and it was fun to watch a small, unafraid herd of deer scope out the edibles in the campsite. Capitol Reef is my favorite national park and I feel lucky to have gotten a campsite there for two nights.

Sites are pretty much level, nice distance apart and most have some shade during the day. Restrooms were clean.

Beautiful location. Good set up. The only issues were the hand dryer in the bathroom didn't work which is tough when it is super cold and your hands freeze, and a bathroom stall was out of order.

We stayed in spot 39 and it was great. Excellent spots for tents with minimal slant. There were too many trees for perfect astrophotography but you can walk to an open spot in the campground or drive/hike somewhere else. Location within the park is superb.

Very much a big parking lot with little space and specials. Compared to the many other amazing RecGov Campgrounds rather boring but clean well maintained

5* review because of the restrooms, lol. They're heated - welcome in 35F weather - and have exterior motion detectors to prepare your way, both firsts for me in the NPS. Also well kept as are the scenic and tranquil campgrounds. Space was a little cramped but I was tent camping on an RV capable site and beggars can't be choosers. Having pie on the premises was awesome even if the strawberry-rhubarb pie itself wasn't that great. Peach for sure next time.

Our third time to Fruita Campground. We like that Loop A and B are non-generator loops. There are lots of trees for shade, which is a plus and minus. If you need solar then the sites on the outside of the loop road have more sun. There is now a bit of wifi at the entrance bulletin board at the campground. You can still go to the visitors center which has stronger wifi service. Of course you can walk to the farm house every morning for your pie and ice cream, sticky bun and/ or bread.
