Stayed at site 1 on June 23. Amazing campsite! About .25 miles down the trail which was perfect to be secluded from the cars but still close enough to do pseudo car camping. The site had 2 tent pads which had gravel base (not wooden platforms). The fire pit was well placed but didn’t have a grill attachment. There was also easy access to the water and some sand in front. Overall it was a lovely site! Grout pond is a clean and nice site. We’ll nestled in the woods to be quiet and lake front. One of our favorite sites on the east, especially if you get a site on the water. One tip though is to bring bug spray! We were at the end of black fly season but it was still pretty buggy out. Although I’m sure not as bad as it was in early June. 5/5 though!

Sites 4 and 5 are awesome. Bit of a walk in - I highly recommend getting to the campsite during the day, as it's a bit harder to bring stuff in at night. Another important point: if you've got a larger tent, it might not fit perfectly on the tent pad, so bring some extra paracord and stakes to adjust how you're attaching the tent to the tent pad. All in all, a really nice (if cold) weekend out camping.

Hesitant to write a good review because I want this place to stay one of the best kept secrets on the GMF.
