Very quiet, one of the most secluded sites I’ve visited.

Booked this campsite for Memorial Day weekend back in April. Was getting reminder emails about my upcoming reservations, just to arrive late at night and have the campsite be closed. We booked this specifically to avoid having to drive around late at night with no service to find another campground. Was very inconvenient and good thing we had enough gas to drive around and find other accommodations. Don’t know why I was able to book if the campsite was closed. Would have appreciated being notified after booking that campsite was not actually open instead of getting confirmation emails about my upcoming reservation. Not sure who's to blame for letting me make a reservation, recreation.gov or the campground. It’s been 6 business days and have not heard back from recreation.gov or the campground about a refund.

Fire pit was very welcome as the temperatures were lower than I'd expected and the structure of the pit holds & generates heat well. The place was more full than I'd expected but people were generally quiet & respectful and I could hear the creek from my tent, which was lovely. Excellent hiking.

Secluded and pristine. Well developed trail system and a couple of very nice, neighboring towns for supplies and activities.

Chittenden Brook is a lovely campground. It’s good for tent camping or small pop-ups, nothing bigger. It has vault toilets but no other services. Take the hike to Beaver Pond! This was our second trip to Chittenden Brook and we will definitely be back.
