Amazing experience and facility!

This was definitely one of the better campsites I’ve stayed at! Although there are multiple sites, they are spaced well and have enough trees that you feel separated from your neighbors. No running water or electricity which wasn’t an issue. There are vault toilets and were quite clean despite the strong ammonia smell and flies (to be expected though). Each site has a picnic bench, fire pit and platform for your tent. I didn’t see any bear at camp but take food precautions regardless. Be sure to download any maps including GPS directions for offline use in advance because there’s no cell service a few miles before you enter the site. It was awesome being unplugged from life. It’s about a 2.5 mi dirt road from the main road, with a semi steep incline at times going up to the site. My Subie had no issue but I’m not quite sure how well an RV would do.

Unfortunately, I had limited time to spend at the actual campsite besides breakfast and sleeping due to plans. However, I will definitely be back and explore the trails. All in all, I loved it and can’t wait to go back.

Great little nugget in the heart of the green mountains. You can ride chitty bang bang MTB trail right from the campground!

Chittenden Brook is the most beautiful campground in the East Coast. Pristinely clean, with maintained compostable bathrooms, and greener than any other place on Earth. It’s been our fourth summer coming back, and it felt warmer than in the previous years so we swam in the brook every morning. A life changing experience and we can’t wait to be back. Thank you for that great Gift to the forestry team.
